250 (min) x Sweet Sultan Mixed seeds (Amberboa moschata)

Description

Sweet Sultan produces fluffy, thistle-like flowers in a mix of soft pastel shades — creamy white, lilac, and soft pinks. Each bloom sits proudly atop long, slender stems, gently swaying in the breeze and filling the air with a light, sweet fragrance.

They’re fantastic for cutting, lasting well in vases, and equally wonderful for pollinators — bees and butterflies can’t resist them.

They love sunny spots and well-drained soil, and are really easy to grow from seed — perfect for beginners. Sweet Sultan is a hardy annual, so you’ll get flowers the same year you sow, usually from early summer right through to autumn.

How to grow: Indoors March – April. Sow on the surface of firmed fine seed compost and lightly cover with more compost. Keep warm and slightly moist until germinated (1-2 weeks). Pot on into individual pots once big enough to handle, grow on before planting out in a sunny, sheltered position 30cm (12”) apart. Plant height 60cm (24”).

Outdoors April-May. Sow in shallow drills (0.5cm) deep in a well raked seed bed. Cover lightly and water if required until established. Thin to 30cm (12”) apart. Plant height 60cm (24”).
