Rudbeckia, also known as Black Eyed Susan is an easy to grow half hardy annual, best started off under cover. Beautiful orange flowers with a raised dark brown cone centre. A delightful addition to the flower bed and floral arrangement alike.
How to grow: February – April sow in trays or pots on a windowsill or greenhouse (15-20°C) in fine compost, covering seeds lightly. Transplant seedlings when big enough to handle, spacing them 5cm (2”) apart in trays. Plant out when risk of frost has passed (15” apart). Plant height approx 45 cm (18”).
