150 x Gaillardia Grandiflora Mixed seeds.
Large mono and bi coloured single daisy type flowers on a dense clumping base. Flowers prolifically and is extremely drought tolerant. Makes a delightful cut flower. Also known as Blanket Flower. Bees absolutely love it!
This Perennial will usually flower in the first year if sown in early Spring.
How to grow: Sow undercover in February – March, scattering seed onto a tray of firmed damp compost mixed with vermiculite if possible to aid drainage. Do not cover completely. Keep moist but do not over water. When big enough to handle, pot on into individual pots before hardening off ready to plant out after the last frost. Space plants 30-60cm (12-24”) apart. Plant height 75cm (30”).
Cutting back plants to 15cm (6”) in Autumn will help it survive through winter.
